About NiQuan
NiQuan Energy began its journey in 2008 when Ainsley Gill, Founder and Group Chief Visionary Officer, registered the company in the United States. Initially focused on energy consulting, NiQuan quickly transformed into a company with a mission to drive meaningful change in the clean energy landscape.
In 2012, recognizing the transformative potential of Gas-to-Liquids (GTL) technology—harnessing the cleanest hydrocarbons and repurposing underutilized energy assets—Ainsley Gill led NiQuan toward becoming a dedicated player in the GTL industry.
In 2024, NiQuan made history by delivering its first GTL plant in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. With nearly USD $1 billion in investments, NiQuan is the proud parent of a commercially proven, small-scale GTL plant, with a production capacity of 100,800 gallons per day of 100% biodegradable clean GTL Diesel. This plant achieved full commercial readiness (TRL 9) in small-scale GTL.
Also, in 2024, as part of its growth strategy, NiQuan acquired its second brownfield plant in Westlake, Louisiana, USA, and will replicate the success of its first GTL plant. Using its patented proven technology, the second facility will have a nameplate capacity of 42,000 gallons per day, focusing on the production of premium-value wax and low-carbon aviation fuel.
