Hello, I’m Shehnaz Rangwala; President of the NiQuan Global Foundation (NGF).

Shehnaz Rangwala is the President of the NiQuan Global Foundation (NGF), the philanthropic arm of NiQuan Energy Group, where she leads strategic initiatives that align the company’s clean energy mission with social impact. Under her leadership, NGF partners with communities to co-design sustainable development programs, amplify underrepresented voices, and create educational and workforce development opportunities that support long-term, inclusive growth.

Ms. Rangwala has over two decades of experience in international development, strategic partnerships, and social impact. She previously served as President & CEO of Leadership Global (formerly Leadership Africa USA), developing and implementing programs across the United States, Africa, and the Caribbean focused on food security, poverty reduction, and community empowerment.

Before that, she worked as Program Director at Education Africa USA and later at Bread for the World, where she worked on domestic and international hunger and poverty issues. Earlier in her career at the University of Missouri–Columbia, she strengthened relations between the international student community and the broader campus, including setting up international university partnerships, managing scholarships and coordinating study abroad programs. Her experience includes serving as an Adjunct Faculty member at Marymount University, Virginia, where she taught International Trade in Textiles and Apparel.

Ms. Rangwala has contributed to major global initiatives, including helping organize the historic U.S. – Africa Energy Ministerial in Ethiopia and supporting capacity-building efforts under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA). She has delivered training for U.S. and African government agencies and international organizations on women’s entrepreneurship, textile trade, leadership skills training and workforce development.

Her experience also includes teaching international trade in textiles and serving as a judge and presenter at Microsoft’s Pan-African and Worldwide Innovative Education Forums, where she promoted the importance of leadership skills training.

Ms. Rangwala has lived and worked across Africa, Asia, and the Americas, and has extensive experience in education, international trade, and initiatives that empower women and girls. She recently served as a Member of the MCC Advisory Council at the Millennium Challenge Corporation in Washington, D.C. She holds a M.Sc. in Textiles & Apparel Management (with International Trade and Socio-cultural Impact) from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Missouri, and a M.A. in Media Communications from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Anthropology with Sociology as a minor from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai and also has a Diploma in International Tourism Management from the Indian International Trade Center, Mumbai, India. As a Fulbright Finalist, she researched the impact of industrialization on women and children in the textile industry.
